Daisuke Koda, owner of Glad Hand & Co. apparel company in Tokyo, is a retrophile, car enthusiast and toy collector. Here is his homage to a 1920s tin toy and collegiate jalopy.

I like this toy for its 1920s isms, but more so for the related songs I can hear on my Talking Machines. I received it this past week. :singing:

As in "Tin Lizzie." According to Merriman-Webster, usage dates to 1915. The Model T was introduced until 1908 so didn't take long for the world to come up with a word for a small, inexpensive, run down car!

I was much less of a show off before the internet. "Lizzie" was a slang word for horse or mule. (Same source.)

I'm always spouting odd tidbits of information. My coworkers sometimes doubt me, I just smile and say google it. After a while they will come to me and ask if I know what stuff is. :D Over time, I see their interest and knowledge grow. :borg:

So many people don't know anything about anything. Doesn't matter how one acquires information as long as one fills one's head with it. Just MHO.
