Has anyone seen a plate bearing this signature? I know Haviland used a variety of painters, but have been unable to find this painter. I tried to upload a pic of the front, but the file is too large. It has yellow, pink and red roses with a green background. I've seen similar plates on ebay, etc., but nothing with this signature.
    Thanks for any input.

Most likely a hobbyist painted piece. Haviland sold large quantities of plain white dishes which were purchased by, and then painted by housewives. It was a very popular hobby. Patterns were printed in women's magazines and classes were taught. It was most popular in the early 1900's but even today it's not that unusual to still find women (and I'm sure some men) who enjoy this hobby. State fairs here in the Midwest still might have contests for painted china where works are displayed and ribbons awarded.
