MCM Tanker desk

Hey all....I picked up this desk on a whim at an estate sale last week. I thought it pretty nice original condition, although w restoration it could be amazing! No makers mark. But the legs are marked Japan next to the flat part where they screw in to the underside. Solid wood. A bit sun bleached on 1 side sadly. Heavier than heck! Any thoughts on value? I have sold these before the solid wood one I got $500 for (was roughervthan this one imo), and I recently sold one with a laminate top for $150.
Paid $40 for it, could not pass it up.

 

Good solid furniture but a hard sell here. Amazed you were able to get $500 for anything similar. Can't hardly give them away here.

 

It took awhile for both of them to sell TBH....esp the one w the laminate top. These things are so gigantic I also go back and forth on if I should go for it but I think they're old and cool and I obviously have given it a go 3x now LOL

I actually gave it away last weekend, ha! I met a lady who gave me a ton of cool fabrics and furniture, so I thought it good karma when she fell in love with it, to let her have it.
