Featured local auction violin

Hi folks

another local auction purchase(35). I've sold all but one of my fiddles, so wanted a new one to find out about

its a full size (4/4) (14/1/4 inch body) looks to be a set up ready to play as the playability is superb with low string action

59cm full length

scroll has been carved right back (which i've heard is a good sign for a violin)

all looks nicely made, beautiful ebony on the fingerboard

looking at the bridge, it looks to be properly set up to play

beautiful sound ( i can't really play, but can make strings ring out with a bow)

if i had to guess i'd put it turn of the century, maybe a bit before or after

hopefully @all_fakes

wouldn't mind taking a looky

any thoughts or info appreciated

Sorry, I can't tell anything about a violin from photos, and often can't tell much in person, other than whether I like the sound or not. I can only suggest showing it to an accredited violin shop..in the US, see a list at American Federation of Violin and Bow Makers - American Federation of Violin and Bow Makers
