Holy crap-Looks like you inherited an Arts & Crafts Bungalow (re the ceiling treatment).

No harm/no foul-If the rest of the house looks like this I'd be overwhelmed too ! Your Ancestors had superb taste (drool).
PS-Bless our 'Loved Ones', but normally what's left over is a walker,portable toilet,oxygen tank and a pile of ****.

 

Good idea. And 'double box' it, put the box in a larger box with plenty of wrapping stuff (or whatever you use as a buffer) in between.

Such shades are very nice. So often mica shades from the 20's have damage, delamination, etc. The beauty of mica shades with the correct bulb wattage is hard to beat.

 

I like the one on the lamp in the photo, but also like the zodiac one. Does it have only three zodiac panels on it? Looks like Capricorn, Scorpio, and (probably) Pisces? That seems kind of odd, in a way. I wonder whether there was a set of shades, and some had the other signs?

Probably impossible to figure out...
