Featured My Dali litho......

after ...years..... of not moving it......I finally switched it into my bedroom.....

on the back....that I'd forgotten about...... was this...

now I'm the 1st to say that I can write an official looking paper too..... but I never included anything like this with my works , that wasn't legit ..

but that's me...

can I place any faith in this whatsoever ?? ........

 

I've always hoped that it's genuine....... but it's sentimental.... it was 600 francs , on the company dime........ so basically it's a matter of pride........
otherwise....... I love either way and always have !!

Its a fantastic piece . BUT a certificate of authenticity is still not worth the paper its printed on ,even in french.

but 2 prints...same number....??

I wonder what performance enhancing substances Dali took. Hieronymus Bosch was on a similar level. Genius meets insanity.

Edit. I once saw a painting on eBay with a cert of authenticity. I asked the seller who the artist was and they said they didn't know. So it's an authentic wut?

 

Real or not, it is beautiful. It is one of the Dalí subjects I always loved.

That is why so many of the fakes are inscribed as artists proofs and unnumbered. As we can see, there should only be one 80/300.
