Featured An antique chair with carved serpents entwined

    This is my precious study chair. I believe it to be italian maybe venetian but have no real idea.
    Are there more images I should take of it to determine age and origin?

    Love the chair, Wave, love the serpents.:) Snakes stand for the eternal cycle of life, and these are two Ouroboros, so even more so.
    Maybe it was a wedding gift.
    It looks like a variation of a 19th century Dutch "krakeling" chair. Krakeling means pretzel.;)

    Looks legitimately old but would like to see more photos. Italian is as good a bet as any. Maybe beech or some type of fruitwood.
