Lots of Fenton (lots !)

I'm in a Mall or watching YouTube and it's Fenton,Fenton,Fenton.....oyvey.
Hey if you love it or it's selling like hotcakes for you-bravo ! Honestly,if it's your passion great,but my god they made a ton (or entire galaxies) of it.
PS-For me it's like seeing Snoop or Shaq on another TV commercial (overexposed).

 

I've gotta say 'Straight Outta Compton' blew me away ! NWA had more gravitas & political punch than the later druggy misogynist poseurs.
NWA's early stuff hit me the same way Gill Scott Heron's 'The Revolution Will Not Be Televised' did.

 

1905-2011, so yes, Fenton created a lot of art glass. It was quality glass that your average Joe could afford. Fantastic for future collectors.
I purchased a black rose candle lamp from an antique store, 30 years ago?, and so started my love affair with Fenton, which led me to the glass of the world. So, to that small West Virginia factory, I thank you.
They invented some techniques that have never been reproduced.
OK, I had to show off my Stevens and Williams on the left. Both spectacular glass making treatments. .

Those two pieces are stunning. I'll have to look at Fenton's more valuable artistic pieces.So many of the YouTube channels that do GoodWill & antique mall walk-thrus just show mountains of the baskets.
PS-I'll freely admit, knowledge wise I'm nowhere near being even a novice 'glassie'. Will look at some of the more expensive pieces. Will say,the epergnes are mind blowing !

 

Here we go,I've begun to judge some Fenton differently ! But I guess if all you do is walk thru GW's or Malls, you will see buckets of their common inventory.
