Hand painted. It's good enough that it might have been done in the factory.

Looks to be a very nice hobbyist-painted bowl!

I think hobby. Rosenthal didn’t airbrush. Nicely done.

I'm not sure. I recently found a very similar one with a floral pattern on it. Were these decorated in the factory or were they just plain?

Gilding was often done in a factory. The rest was done in factory, by professionals working for themselves, or by hobbyists. Some women made a living at it.

    Moliere is the shape name.

That's good to know. I thought it was a sub division of Rosenthal when I was researching it.

Sorry, I should have said that. About the shape name I mean. I’ve a few of them, I collect Moss Rose.

The Daisy (chamomile) one looks ok for factory done.

Yes. It looks hand painted. Very pretty. Would be nice to see it without the wear to the gold accents.

Moosrose says Google. I take it this is German translation..

Yup, that’s the German. The pieces are marked like that too.

I found this the other day while dusting in top of a kitchen cabinet. No markings on this one. When I moved, everything got shoved here and there and I wasn't paying that much attention. It would be nice to bring cookies to a pot luck.

Similar decor to mine and that relief moulding around the edge is typical of Rosenthal..
