Hi, This large antique brass cloisonne enamel jardinière was used as an umbrella stand by my grandparents. I would like to know its approxiamate age and country of origin if possible. I am undecided on its furture atm whether to use it as a planter or not.
It weighs 3.25kg, 22cm deep and 30cm at its widest point. Thanks for taking the time to look.

thanks for the reply and yes I have 'googled it' but I didnt get what I would call a difinitive answer. Certainly not as to whether Victorian / Edwardian or Chinese / Japanese or European copy. Just thought someone on here with the correct knowledge would help. Thanks

 

Chinese champlevé enamel (not cloisonné), late 19th century. Nice example.
The bright colours and motifs are reminiscent of Ming period enamels.
