Trying to help a friend out. Unknown metal content but I suspect silver. Thank you.

Could the loop fit over a button? Approx. how long is the chain? One could see some Christian symbolism here, but I don't know if that is what was intended. How & where did your friend acquire it? Or is the acquisition under consideration?

Very nice.:) It is a Chinese toggle for prosperity and good luck. Very likely silver and antique.

The top somehow gives me Chinese vibes and I found this IMG_0265.jpeg

And they listed it as Yajin which I don’t know how to explain, just google it and there’s a wiki page

I spotted one with a massive agate fish on my last visit to an antique market, and they were asking for more than 100 GBP! Don’t know how much one usually went for, so I gave it up:woot: This one also has a fish but one in an basket is novelty

Those are British prices!:jawdrop: Sounds beautiful though.:)
I have a small collection of Chinese silver toggles, all bought here in Continental Europe.

Greater chance for European sellers not knowing what they’re & their true worth… always do research& ask forum members before buying & selling ;)
