    "Cove on Green River" original watercolor signed "Chas A. Hulbert". Info I was able to ascertain in last photo.

    There was a local dealer (I think she went OOB a few years ago) that really wanted it and offered me $20. I like it myself, so I kept it. Just sharing.

    I ask because there appears to be no evidence that Hulbert worked outside the East Coast. And other artists depicted the Green River like this.

    There could be more than one Green River.

    You're right. It's probably the Green River in Massachusetts. Hulbert lived in Egremont.

    Same thing with this picture. It was on the wall at my former home and when I had a sale, a man wanted it, but only if I took the picture out; he only wanted the frame. It would have been more trouble for me to take out the picture than he offered me because it was all nailed wood on the back. I have it in my new house.
