I found these 2 chalkware(?) statues at my friend's thrift store today - and at first I thought they were bronze, but turns out they're chalkware.
They are 23" tall and represent - I think - the god of the seas and the god of wind (the one with cheeks all puffed out)
On the back, at the base, is a stamp on each that says something like
Primode Creations, inc. - -----of California
And what looks like 1955 on one & maybe 1965 on the other, but I'm not sure.
Can anyone tell me about these?
    Thank you!

Both sea warriors of some kind since both feature sea life in the bases. The God of the Sea (Poseidon) is usually pictured with a trident. Not sure what that thing is that the first one has. I am thinking both are 1965.

What Brad said. The paunchy one, like a silenus of the sea, could be Nereus.

In one pic, it looks like a seahorse maybe?

Yes, 2 seahorses. The other has a dolphin. Maybe he has speared a squid?

We had seahorses in a tank when I was a kid. They are fascinating creatures. But did not last long.

The ine with the puffed up cheeks like he's going to blow a storm, has 2 seahorses - one under each hand

Hard to tell since it broke somewhere in time - but if dates are 1965 then 60 years in this condition is pretty good for chalkware or plaster!

    Looks like something...Luda creations, right?
Good thing is it was made in California
Bad thing is company must not have lasted long because no one knows what it's name us from a partial piece!

I think so. I didn't find anything like your statues, or with the same text, but Prelude did make chalkware statues.
