Couldn’t find them listed in any of the images I found! I think it may be a fake from 20th century or something that someone wanted to say was old (they etched 1824 into it twice lol), but I have no clue! I got in in a thrift store, upstate NY, for like 3 bucks.

Those look like US maker's marks, not hallmarks. The US doesn't have hallmarks, those are only used in countries that have official assayers of precious metals.
Our US members will be along later.

While we are waiting, does the snuffer have the same marks? Looks like the snuffer and the tray didn't start life together.;)
Maybe a postal code, in case it is stolen?

My baby is Lo Mein, and she definitely does like to be featured in pictures :p (usually until I try and make them look nice ). IMG_2495.jpeg Who is your little one?

It is the name of an Indonesian Goddess. I'm trying to let it not go to her head.:joyful:

An insurance code from the old days, probably engraved by the original owner. The number corresponds to an inventory sheet that is now meaningless and to nothing else. I'd guess the set is 50s/60s Japanese silverplate.

Too late! She already knows she's a goddess.

That's no cat, it's a silver tabby fur-goddess, and doesn't she know it.
