I have a copy of a book when the Pope John Paul 2 came to Ireland and I think the signature might be genuine looking to see other people opinion. IMG_6756.jpeg IMG_6755.jpeg

It does look like his signature, but I haven't seen any example online with a space between the o and the a, and the 2 sigs I found with a date, have the month in Roman numerals, and the year in full, like this one:

And (not sure how to clearly explain this, but here we go...) the curl in "your" first A, seems to go from left to right, while the one in this signature comes from the right side.

But, based on my own signature, that doesn't mean much :D I "forge" my signature constantly, as they're never the same.

He came here in 1982, I was assigned to guard him, and his podium, I worked for 29 hours that weekend in Coventry.

I never got his autograph, though.

Here's my official police badge for the period.

When you think of how many times he must have signed things, how rapidly he was probably doing it during tours, etc., I see no reason to think Brubaker's signature is not genuine, just more streamlined than the example shown by Marote. And besides, it says "Veritas" right below it. :D

I might add, no attempts to shoot him were carried out on my watch

I've never faced so many people in my life, it was estimated 350,000 people were there mid-morning

Here's a pic of him after landing by chopper.

:bag: The date in the book also has Roman numerals... I thought it was an 8, but it's an X for October
