Featured unknown japanese jug

I wonder if someone wil know what this japanese jug is and how old it is. I found a site from which i could tell it is japanese but could not translate text with more info because of copywright.

 

Would it be ancient,or new ?

You mean Song Dynasty- roughly a thousand years ago ? The bunghole or cork would be petrified by now-the contents must be tested.

A vaguely similar jug I have. I believe it is a Chinese wine jug. It seems to be semi glazed Yixing. They likely have been used elsewhere in Asia pretty extensively I’d think.

 

I think that's being 'Culturishly Insensitive', a person of any nationality with the correct equipage should be allowed to use one !
