upcoming painting lot

i'll probably give it a miss as its up to £70 already, and think its gonna fly past that

although i would have a go if it was cheap, something about it seems a bit fishy anyway

just seems a bit to put together at the back

can't find an exact match, though quite a few similar, thinking just a decorative type thing

any thoughts?

Is this listed as an oil on panel ? Just my opinion but it seems a skilled copy done by a fine craftsman, a cut above the reg short order online artists. Help to see in person (but prob not poss).

I think it's a souvenir copy of the original. It looks off, somehow. Maybe it's because Eve is blonde.

 

I'd think of this as a piece by a sublime porcelain painter. Naive yes,but incredibly sophisticated 'Folk Art'.
This particular piece will never be a Turner or 40 million dollar Rubens,but it could be an 1840's homage to that style of 300-400 yrs earlier.
Reminds me a bit of Kinuko Craft (modern illustrator)-
PS-Wonder if there's a sig under the frame ? This'll never be a masterpiece-could it be worth a grand or two-you got me ?
I see what looks superb on Ebay every month sell for peanuts (or less !).

Whoever did this copy is a bit interpretive of female anatomy... Her hair is...it reminds me of a sheep skin? I guess it's hard to tame when you're running through the brush all the time.

 

yeah it doesn't hang right, looks far to heavy, maybe a very expensive weave ?
she better start paying more attention as well, it looks like it might dreadlock

Are y'all talking about the Kinuko piece? She is a well known illustrator. Her site. Fantasy illustration was one of the first things they fed into AI so it's not surprising to be guarded, but this one is legit.
