Featured 17th Century English Oak Barley Twist 18" Candlestick Holder

    I recently purchased this Candlestick Holder and I'd like to know more about it. I was told it's 17th century which makes sense to me but I've never seen one this ornate and tall.     a lead weight on the bottom does not speak of 17th century to me....

    I think they had lead in the 17th Century or it could have been added laTER.

    As I do more research I'm starting to feel that this may be Victorian. Can someone tell me when the Double Helix open Barley twist style first appeared? Thanks

    I love barley twists in wood. Have a pair of 19th century barley twist candlesticks myself.
