Featured Troika style vase thing

I saw this on my travels and just had to buy it, because it's so weird. Similar to Troika but possibly a bit too sloppy. The base has felt stuck to it, so will give it a good soak when I get home and see what it reveals.

There is something written on the base 'blah 1986'. Not sure if this is from the original artist or added by a collector. Not sure whether to remove it to search for a mark.

 

Found some writing on the base. Still none the wiser.

 

I suspect John Cert made it, whoever he may be. Possibly a student or studio piece.

 

Me too. No one seems to know who he is though sadly.

 

It does look student made. I like it.

 

Aye. I was thinking student too. I thought maybe cert is short for certificate maybe...
