Yes, please do, I would appreciate that greatly, being far removed from all social media.

    What is AR?

I must have missed the backstory. Brad is going to a roadshow taping? Where are the details??!

Backstory is here in this thread. Brad and I got general lotto tickets to different stops (St. Louis and Savannah, GA) and blummz and her daughter are volunteering at the Charlevoix, MI stop. :D

Here are a couple thrift store pieces seen of late. This pine washstand was $15.00. I did not buy it.

This cedar chest was $16.00. I did buy it.

I love that chest! Beautiful piece.

The washstand would make a great mini buffet or kitchen cabinet for someone with a smaller apartment.

The cedar chest is only 42" long so a great size for most people. I would have bought the washstand but I have several smaller pieces right now and furniture has not been moving.

The cedar chest looks like mine, except mine never had a lock. It was my grandmother's and all I know is it was made in 1921 or earlier.

    @Jeff Drum
Just posted your chair to an arts and crafts group I belong to. Hopefully, they can give us some direction on it.

Thank you so much! Hope someone has something on it.

It should be an easy rehab keeping it original, I just want to know what it is before I start messing with it. A nice thing about arts and crafts furniture is that all the surfaces are just about dead flat without carving, but depending what it is it might be worth preserving existing finish.

I’ve returned with more pics as requested. All of these pics are with the chair upside down. So my pic of corner block is from underneath, instead of from the top. If that matters I can try again.

I couldn’t find any marking under arm, as shown in the pic after the corner blocks.

But I do see what looks like evidence of a removed rectangular metal tag on the back horizontal seat rail, distance btw tack holes shown.

Thanks again, happy to keep trying, lmk!

That's old school quarter-sawn oak if I ever saw it, pre-WWI for sure. The screws alone say so.

It's too bad that furniture is such a good deal , but so hard to shift.

It's solid oak, just don't ask me the age or where it came from.

@Jeff Drum Sent you a message. Knowledgeable person in group thinks it may be Hubbard Eldredge and Miller (HEMCO). Not definitive but as good a lead as any.
