    PXL_20250512_133546556.jpg Good day all,

I am hoping you can help me on the marks on these earrings as they are totally foxing me. PXL_20250512_134742702.jpg PXL_20250512_132831975.jpg

@Dogfax, please post a photograph of the earrings themselves -- both front and back -- shot on a plain, neutral background. Tell us in what of the world you found them and what you know about them, if anything. And please post better quality close-up photographs of the marks using a micro setting.

Well, I’m definitely not alone in struggling with getting good close up shots. You have my deepest empathy. I used to have a set of clip on lenses, and the magnifying one helped a lot for shooting tiny details; I think I might try to find another set.

I've seen a lot of clip ons, but I've never seen clip ons with fabric glued on as part of the design.

I don't think a maker would glue fabric on 14K for example, and I can see what looks like the finish worn off of the gold on the top, so probably base metal and not huge value on these. It might not matter so much the maker.

You can also hold a loupe over your camera lens. I have one of those cheap watch repair glasses with multiple pop in lenses and I use those too.
