Small Round Brass Tray with Central Scorpio? Symbol

    This is 6 1/4" diameter, ~3/4" high, of ~0.025" sheet stock; it weighs ~3 1/3 oz. There is just enough evidence of hand-work to lead me to believe it wasn't machine-pressed...bicbw about that. There are numerous remnants of color in various places; red, green, white (or cream), an' perhaps black.
    I've had it for 40 years or so, but cannot recall where it was acquired. I will be grateful for all your comments, especially about the symbol in the center. Thanks for lookin'!

    I think more likely a monogram composed of more than one letter. MT my best guess.

    I'm guessing you have it upside-down, and that there are waves below the letters in the monogram, and clouds above them.

    I hadn't seen this abbreviation before. Now I know -- bicbw=but I could be wrong.
