Love this diamond! Looks like a transitional cut maybe. Small table and teensy tiny culet. Great find.!!!!!

The opal looks like it has a sterling mark. Lab opal, just in case. The gold oddments on the decoration may well be 14k and marked on the other side of the ring.

This is an upside down Moroccan fibula, one of a pair that would have been connected by a chain:

    They often get separated.
On this photo from the Majorelle collection you can see how they were worn:

It's a dirty job, but someone has to do it.

Had a fun Saturday. I picked up a long vintage leather skirt and these bits:

    murano brown vase 1 sm.jpg

Murano glass sticker on this vase.

    amp 1 sm.jpg

Orange mini amp I grabbed to show the husband. Turns out he's wanted one of these for years. They used to give them out as prizes in a music group he was a part of and he was always jealous. Works perfectly and looks completely brand new.

I cannot afford the Tiffany version :pompous: so was excited to see the repro for cheap (which go for over a hundred+). I've already cleaned it up (all that brown is dussst :yuck:) and it all works. I just want to get some LED bulbs so it doesn't heat up so fantastically.

    Paperweight sm1.jpg

Worthpoint claims this as a Robert Eickholt piece but it is unsigned from what I can find and I bought it for myself anyway so no matter if it isn't.

    It's pretty; I wouldn't care either.

Bought these a few weeks ago but never put the picture up. The candleholders are what looks like coral and wired leaves. They want to be jade but it's unlikely in the extreme. The roses were on a sterling chain and made for a local horticultural society. Overpaid, but it made a good Mother's Day gift for my sister.

Stuff from this weekend. My dumb body woke me up a 04:15 and wouldn't let me get back to sleep. So...went out early to a local-ish neighborhood sale. I drove around a bit before anyone opened, and ended up only buying at four houses. One of those was lemonade and a cupcake. Oh well.

The decanter is cut crystal or really heavy glass, too old to be Waterford. The stopper is glass and unmarked sterling. It has an arrow on top inside the unmarked cartouche area/shield. The wreath is Corning glass, of all things. Oddly, I had made similar hearts into earrings a while ago but never gave them away. The orange earrings were in an otherwise unremarkable bag - orange bakelite screwbacks. (mine!) The charm bracelet seems to be all silver but the bracelet itself isn't marked as such. A lot of the charms aren't good for much but scrap, but the roulette wheel is cool.

And then... Waterford glass at last. It has a different official name, but he's Smaug on his hoard! DSCF0028.jpg DSCF0031.jpg DSCF0032decanter2.jpg DSCF0035.jpg DSCF0030.jpg

Thanks. I didn't get to that particular sale too early and have no idea how he was still sitting there.

Another day another chair. Believe it to be Jacobean revival style possibly from mid 19th century. Has a more modern reupholstering job and srews look handmade from what I can tell, but haven't pulled one out to see what I'm really working with just yet. Got this bad boy for just 40 dollhairs! Also picked up this neat little ceramic pot for $3, similar one on 1st dibs listed for 280 but who knows it's true value IMG_20250520_174035_(1080_x_1434_pixel).jpg

I love that chair. Will you reupholster it? Do you do that? I would love to know how to do it.

I have been looking for a locking lighted glass countertop case, tall not wide, with hooks on the top to hang necklaces. I found this on FB marketplace, and I picked it up today. Lumii_20250520_184125966.jpg I got two extra light bulbs with it and a replacement lock. I have a friend whose son is a locksmith and will get him to replace it (hubby is not going to chance breaking the glass.) I don't think the shelves can be adjusted. The hooks are a little close to the top shelf, I have to get creative hanging up necklaces. Need to Windex it. Not bad for $100. I also have been looking for some specific jewelry in my house, and I found two of the three things I was looking for today. It was a good day.

Probably just keep it as it's. It's not in terrible condition, just needs to be dusted off and maybe some oil? I'll have to look into what kind works best for it though. I have a couple chairs saved for practicing upholstery but havent gotten to it just yet. That project is currently on hold while we get a work shed built at the new place we're moving into.
