Featured Any Ideas Of Age/Group/Military????

Picked this up today. It was in a modern frame, with new mats, that made me think was a copy. But, it's attached to an old board. So, it's an original print. Probably 6 x 8.

If you recognize the clothing, the type of band this might be, the time it might have been taken, I'd appreciate it. Other than that, it's just cool.

 

Yes,cool piece. IMHO Quick guess-1890 to 1905,town,fraternal,school,religious band-not military (ages too disparate).
If you could get a good quality micro lens on this-something might be gleaned ?

I agree with bosko, it's some type of local band, not military. There are young boys along with older men. What an interesting group!

 

I can't enlarge it because it pixilates. Are those initials on their caps?

I found this one at ebay. It looks similar, but it's slightly different. Zooming in on this postcard, there's two star like images between the loop or U or whatever the outside of the symbol is, on mine it's one piece within the symbol. (I have to learn proper terminology on these things)

 

The U encircling the cap device is most likely a wreath,middle vertical motif could be a Roman-style column,mounted to it could be a harp (one symbol of music).Could also be intertwined initials of the organization ?

 

It's the LIMIT for ALL of us!!!! 1mb per image!!!!! At first I thought those were numbers on their all hats.....now I think it looks like some sort of identical badge....could still be wrong tho!!

 

It still fits on a 3.5 inch floppy disk when it is 1 MB.
