Pretty sure I've answered my own question, but thought I'd share nevertheless.

No photos yet, so grabbing photos from a sold Ebay auction of an identical Wallace enamel candy dish (in a different color enamel from mine) but otherwise the same.

Was at first thinking I found a hidden treasure at Goodwill noticing a very faint mark, "Wallace 950". Below, the borrowed Ebay photos:

At the store, a little voice inside of me said that items like this would be marked with the word "Sterling" if silver, so the 950 caught me off guard, but was thinking (hoping) maybe it was 950 silver. I'm used to seeing these by Reed and Barton and wasn't familiar with the Wallace markings.

Not a huge investment at $3.99, and mine is in good shape with an unusual harvest gold color.

Now convinced what I have is silverplate, and 950 must be the model number.

The Ebay one also had this sticker, mine does not.

So no particular question, just sharing the discovery that this 950 mark was likely a model number.

Yes, I figured that too. Thanks.

Just looking at others online with this 950 mark they are calling their's silverplate.

Silverplate and introduced in 1962 according to the internet. A bit early for Harvest Gold.

Definitely an unfortunate model number for a hopeful cheap silver seeker.
