French toleware swan lamp

I recently found this lamp in a resale shop and fell in love with it. I did a Google search and found a couple that are similar, but I couldn't find many details on them. Do I have something special here? I'm also curious about its origin, age, etc.

    I think it's an older one - 50s-ish. That looks like a vintage cord and plug made for use in the USA.

    French Hollywood Regency. Early Sixties I'd guess.

    I asked because shades are helpful for dating. The shade looks a bit later to my eye. Does it fit? I ask because it may not be original to the lamp.

    Why don't you post a photograph of the shade in place atop the lamp? That's what's preferred because the proportions of the two together are helpful in confirming dating. It also helps in identifying marriages.
