Hunk o’ pottery is just that, right?

This came in a small junk lot that I bought for some reason that I don’t recall. Didn’t even look twice at it. Saw it today and figured I better try to get rid of it. Noticed it has a somewhat thought out looking mark with an early date of 1935. I didn’t expect it to even be marked let alone that old. Figured hobbyist or student piece. Strange looking hunk o’ pottery, but I guess the colors aren’t unpleasant. I can’t imagine anyone recognizes anything here or thinks it could be something? The people had mostly pretty decent stuff so maybe I’ll be surprised….The horrible repair definitely kills any appeal it could have had. I think it must be a repair. Unless some pancake batter got stuck to it 90 years ago and no one bothered to wipe it off.

it looks lilac and blue in your last pic which I find to be more pleasing than the .... ummm... genital colouring of the 1st two..
I'm unsure of what this is .... and I'm not sure I'd care to touch it.... but I do like the siggy which could be a G F ....

Ahahaha! About what I expected. I’ll try to group it with some other crap, or maybe just set it on the curb. The amount of time I spend trying to get rid of the ancillary things that come in lots is probably terribly inefficient. I wish I could bring myself to toss that stuff.

 

That is the ugliest thing I have seen today.. But luckily I also had the opportunity to go to a very high end art gallery today. The gallery sells works from South Africa’s most acclaimed and highest earning painters. It was quite inspiring..
