I've had this on my kitchen window sill for a few years now. I went through a phase of buying similar style items and started a mini collection. I've decided to have a clear out. The others have jingdezhen marks on but this is slightly different. It has a tributary quinlong mark by the looks of it. 20th C. I think. H = 17cm.

I thought a bit earlier. Maybe not. Oh well.

Amazing how many of these I've seen for sale for £100+ and even £1000+

Huh. I haven't seen a mark with "oriental" on it before. I wonder if that's a throw-back to an old term or the pattern name. Like, if you didn't know, this is an oriental design.

Never thought of it like that. I've seen British patterns that are called oriental, but don't think I've seen Chinese exports marked as such either.
