Grabbed this today. Bit of an odd one. Closest I can get is a church vase. Can't find anything by way of manufacturer. It's 19cm tall and has some numerals on the base. Not sure if they read 8616 or 9198.

Looking at the base, I think they must have stopped making um this way a long time ago.

There we go. Plain ol' blue and a plain ol' 'Huge Boss' black t-shirt I bought in Turkey 23 years ago.

The card is from The Range. They do loads of colours in A2 for £1.65.

I agree it's an odd colour. Bronze maybe?.

yeah i don't know its an odd one for sure, but quite classy

wonder if that patina has developed through handling.

looking at the base think we can rule out brass, the top area looks more gilded than brass

The base is a different metal. Ferrous I think. The bottom 'cone' forms a laminate over this. I think this is brass. Then the metal above that is a different colour again.

Interesting thing. The first photos made me think there’s somekind of film cover/wrap on the middle section (I know that can’t be right, but the shine just looked so odd) In the other photos not so much. In one it looks bronze and then brass in the other. Definitely a combination. Anyway nice find!
