Antiques Lover living in Paris, France but from the USA

Hi, I'm Jennifer. Originally from Houston, TX but have been in Paris, France for over 30 years now. I've gotten some cool stuff at flea markets, brocantes, on e-Bay and at thrift stores. I only wish I had more room in our little apartment for all the antiques I'd love to buy. I'm not a big spender but I love coming across little treasures that sell for next to nothing. It's the thrill of the hunt! We have a really good antiques flea market in the north of Paris (though it's a bit pricey) & I have 2 thrift stores near me. Hoping to learn even more about antiques so I'll know what to look out for.

 

Welcome to the forum! I'm also American, I was born in France and have lived here all my life. We don't have many thrift stores here (near Poitiers), but the vide greniers are fantastic! I'm looking forward to seeing your finds.

There are some beautiful small antiques. For instance antique scent bottles, Chinese snuff bottles, European snuff boxes, vesta and calling card cases. And jewellery of course!
