I was wondering why this picasso circle of youth print has a embossed "archives" wording on the side of the print? I couldn't find any others like that. Was that maybe the paper they used? Thank you. Not mine just saw it at a local antique mall. If you zoom up in the second photo you can see the embossed words

Or maybe it doesn't say "archives" maybe it says something else?

Nevermind I think it is "arches" paper.

Seconded. Arches is a French brand of art paper; their watercolor paper is used as a benchmark, at least by me. It's not cheap either. I might well have that print out of its frame, checking for stamps from a gallery.

Arches is a brand of art paper. The impression is a "watermark".

Another confirmation. Arches is the standard for professional rag watercolor paper. It can be used for prints and bought at any art supply so it won't tell you the worth of a piece, other than it's unlikely to be a cheap digital print.
