Lovely ring, gilded silver with turquoises. The gilding is worn in places, a sign of a nice age.
Probably North African, my guess is Egypt. Any marks, maybe on the inside or along the edges?

No it doesn't. The cardigan brooches were brass and glass and a Western fashion item.

My guess is Thai

 

The loop setting of the stones is not a Thai thing. It is seen in parts of Europe, N. Africa and the Middle East.
The general style of the ring is N. African too.

 

Agree. Does look a bit like a Thai 'princess' ring in form though.

Maybe when I squint.
The top of a Thai 'princess' ring has a more triangular cross section, like a Buddhist stupa, and is mounted all around the 'stupa' with small multicolour stones.
