Featured Artist on menorah bronze sculpture

I was wondering if anyone could help me identify this artist on this bronze menorah sculpture? It is signed and dated. Has a barcode on the back with a small sticker that says "made in Mexico". Appears to be a limited edition with a title called "icarus" dated 1990s. Thank you for any info

 

I would think the piece is entitled 'Dove of Peace' given that's what it represents. Icarus holds the copyright so is more likely the name of the maker. That should be the designer's name in script.

strange menorah...... but with an edition of 1200 someone thought it would be a winner !!!

Here's another piece he did for Icarus. (Seller identifies artist as "Daner" but, to my eye, "Daney" is correct.

Several online sources have identified sculptural pieces as being by Alexsander (some spelled Alexander) DANEL, Estonian, 1940-2001. This includes some Icarus pieces with the script signature.

And it could be. However, I found one piece that said it was by Danel that is signed A. Danel, and not in the same script, just in block print. Also haven't found any credible biographical information yet on him. Apparently Danel did a lot of sculptures for Austin Productions, which made a lot of mass- produced sculptures in the past.

Just putting that out there. Too bad that online sellers just copy information from others about the artists. It leads to a proliferation of information that may not be true.
