Hi, this metal vase is about 8 inches tall, and has a smooth surface that looks like it is patinated with a faux verdigris oil spot finish. I've seen similar described as patinated Japanese bronze.

Does anyone recognize the signature, what country it is from, or which side is right side up for the signature? Any other thoughts welcome.

    Thanks.

It is a Japanese under mark for sure.
But I cannot read it because the definition of the mark is not high enough.

Thank you. The mark is not crisp on the vase.

I have the same vase. It is Japanese in origin. I did receive info on another site as follows

Jeffery Bernstein. The mark reads Masaharu
(正晴) and is the mark of Takenaka Bronze Works founded in Takaoka by Takenaka Masaharu in 1927 and still in business. https://takenakadouki.com/english/

hope this helps you as it did me.
