I found this group at a garage sale up the street from my house. I asked the old guy who lives there if he was in Japan; he said no but his brother was. I shoulda asked when.

Do any of these have any particular age or rarity?

The tall kokeshi doll is 14" / 35cm and the saki bottle is 12" / 30cm.

Any comments welcome. Thanks in advance.

Me too! He's one of those 'bobble head' guys. Probably my favorite.

Kokeshi's are a hit and miss unless by a well known artist. The bobblehead ones always sell well. I like the sake bottle the best. The pig looks like a mini new years parade figure. I have a pink dragon one with bobblehead and tail. Year of the pig?

The little pieces in the plastic bag are Shogi pieces
For a game kind of like chess. Might be worth a look.

Especially like the 3 small Kokeshi in Pic 2-they have a nice Mingei (Folk Art) vibe to them, and a bit of patina.

I would have bought everything in the first pic except for the larger kokeshi's. I have enough of those.
That one in the second picture middle. Looks to have some age and it is signed ++

Now that you guys say it, I was assuming that the whole group was more or less the same age, but there's no reason that that has to be true.

The couple on the wood base are Emperor and Empress Hisha dolls. I've never seen them made out of wood and painted.
