    When it comes to inclusions, most people prefer insects. There is even a thriving fake insect inclusion amber industry, sometimes using amber, sometimes artificial resin.
    Obviously the insects used are not pre-historic insects, and they are often put in hot amber or resin while alive.:( The real ones were alive too, but they weren't put in there to make money.

    interesting thought wonder how different looking prehistoric flies are and if you can tell by the flies themself

    i think i'd prefer not to have an insect next to my skin after having just had a dog come back from a trip covered in....(i can't even say the word) :)

    They are generally mosquitoes, a hot and damp climate in those days. Experts can tell the difference. I am not an expert.;)
