When it comes to furniture, I'm just happy to see older pieces keep on living instead of landing in the skip/dumpster/trash.

Thank you! I have subscribed to his channel.! I just "run thru" several his videos. I like he is showing the product he is using. Also he reminds me Larry David. :joyful:

He knows his stuff, for sure. I'm not a furniture "girl" but I like his voice.

:joyful::joyful::joyful::joyful: I met my husband (current one :joyful:) online around 19 years ago and before we met 1st time he has called me, and right after I heard his voice I understood: it is HE. Right next day we met 1st time and then never parted again. Sometimes women have a very high squeaky voice and usually such people like to talk a lot. I have one girlfriend with such a voice and my husband does not even go to visit them.:D I asked him once: If I had such a voice, would you marry me (and I have a low voice)? My husband answered: Probably yes, but later in a couple of years, I would shoot you (of course it was a joke), because you like to talk a lot, and if you would also be "squeaking": you would have no chance.:hilarious::hilarious::hilarious:

No, he is an angel and very kind, smart and caring. And besides, there is a saying: Do not be afraid of a dog that barks, but be afraid of the one that is silent.:)

He's got a Zen manner New England style.
In the construction trade-if you got 5 experienced contractors together, they could all approach a job in a slightly different way, and all could have a valid solution.

All of them would have stories about fixing things done by people who thought they could fix something! Thomas Johnson has been known to fix things left by the side of the road or abandoned in barns, bless him.

What I like is he doesn't over-restore a piece. I think he lives in an early 19th/late 18th Century house and it informs your eye.
I remember the 70's and early 80's when all the dealers were 'dipping' their antique oak and coating them in Varathane ! Worked OK on the decoupaged tree root base table in your first rental, next to the spool table and fruit crate album album racks !
