Hi all. Picked up this little 12x16 in oil on board. The back looks 50s-60s to me,and for the life of me I cant make out the first name of the artist ! I took a zillion pics trying to convey the energy and the lush color. I appreciate any and all input on it,good, bad or ugly ! The brushwork is so thick,I just love it ! I see last name Cross. Particularly on the label.
Not my favorite piece of art.

I love the thick brushwork too! The colors are very compelling. This is the sort of painting that "makes a statement" and is a "pretty picture" - although it may not appeal to everyone's taste. Done by a young "Michelle Cross" in the 1960s.
