Hi again. This painting is signed 'M Schultz,' but I can't seem to find out who that might be.

It's hard to google 'around' the name Charles M Schultz. But maybe he had a dark, more ethereal side ;).

It looks like someone who was experienced to me, but maybe I'm wrong.

    Measures 28" x 17" (71x43cm)

There's faded printing on the back of the board, for whoever manufactured the board.

There seem to be incidental scratches right after the name (ie. nothing intentional).

I found it for not too much in an antique store in Oregon.

Thanks for any help with identification!

Name of board maker is Mason. (William H Mason first developed this type of board in1925,made by Masons Fibre Company 1925-1928,which became Masonite Corporation 1928 to present date Judging by the back your painting it would appear to have some age to it,so a guess ispossibly 60s/ 70s.To my eye it appears to be a sheep or goat with a monkey on its back and possibly a person on the right of the animal.but no joy as regards artist M Schultz.

be interested to see what a frame adds to it, might just give it that finishing touch;)
