Any thoughts on this pastel? painting?

It's a little dark (close ups show details better as I lighten it), but I thought it might be worth something,.
But I can't find another signature?
I didnt want to take out of frame to see if anything is written on the back until I checked with you guys, so any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

 

Looks loosely based on one of Rembrandt's self-portraits, only by a hobbyist artist.

 

There are also portraits where he is wearing a similar painter's cap but he has a moustache and a five o'clock shadow, which could be seen as a beard.

It may not be totally successful but... it was done by someone with artistic training who was happy with the result. Hence the expensive framing.
