Hi, I bought a book and these photos were unexpectedly loosely tucked inside. They measure about 9 x 13". I can find some info online about Faulkner and the photographer but looking for further insight?

I guess what to do with them? They seem historically significant.

I'm not sure about a horses ass or empty church ..... but others , if originals....may hold interest with collectors !

Great pics but I'm not sure Faulkner did any oil paintings-he may have ?

Sometimes the origin of the book can tell you something. What book was it, and is there any indication of who previously owned it? In other words, why might these photos be in this particular book?

Sorry-it's John Faulkner,William Faulkner's younger brother and an oil painter.

Oof sorry. The book was about Da Vinci and the photos were loosely tucked inside. It was a very large book so I’m guessing that’s why the owner chose to put the photos inside of it.

What a fun find! The Faulkner portrait would be salable if that was your intent. (The others likely less so.) They could all be donated to the University of Mississippi which has a Dain archive although they may already have them. You can check here. And, if you do find a duplicate, the web site will provide a descriptor which would be helpful in identifying the subject of the others.
