Hoping someone knows the time frame on this mark. I always go to Gotheborg for my marks, but cannot find it.

Marks on such Kitchenqing pieces are usually just random, very simplified, graphic depictions of reign marks.

This piece looks more refined than what I usually think of as kitchenqing, but I dunno -- not my strong area, LOL!

Actually, you are right. Sorry, my mistake. This kind of scrolling design is still considered “Shanghai ware” by the Peranakans, which means it is considered of greater value to them. “Batik ware” is the coarse type. However, in the book “Nonya ware and Kitchen Ch’ing”, all the blue-&-white wares are referred to as Kitchenqing, a view which I am not entirely happy with.

The problem is that the Peranakans have their own definition while the purist collectors have theirs. Take away the blue-&-white wares of the Peranakans and they’d have no porcelain wares to worship ancestors and gods with, and no daily-use crockery. So yes, I am of the more open-minded and inclusive group.

I am only relatively recently acquainted with Peranakan and its decorative style. I should google more to "bone up" on the history. It seems to me that there is a bit of Persian scrolling design influence in kraftblue's plate.

As cobalt from Persia was so highly prized, that won’t surprise me in the slightest.
