silver would be better on glass ;)

i'm just imagining some drunken loon being a bit to heavy handed with a glass one(smash) :)

    Thanks Tallcakes

agree, its gotta be this kind of thing

was hoping for a bingo/there it is for a minute there, but still very helpful

i'm quite fond of it, damn quirky, so if of a modest value would rather keep i think

Thank you, Tallcakes - I've bookmarked the site for reference! Just to add a note, Hoffman wasn't the only maker of these Czech pieces, but theirs are easily recognized by their butterfly trademark, typically included in the mold...

not sure if many are familiar with essex crystal or not (i certainly wasn't before the lady was talking to me about it) certainly one to look out for though, and very charming indeed

Fab. I'd like an Essex crystal pin with my cats -- dearly departed Merlin, and her successor, Skitty Kitty -- portrayed in it.

Skitty Kittys great, but love the name Merlin for a cat !!

I called mine Skitscat sometimes. Love the goldfish earrings in wherever that image came from's collection. Usually I like my fish cooked and on a plate, but the goldfish are pretty.

LOL, my husband came up with the name and it has nothing to do with the wizard. Merlin was the name of a Rolls Royce aircraft engine.:hilarious:

The cat was a Spitfire, eh?

Could be at times. She was stray/feral kitten from the interior of BC. My husband is a gear-head.

    Appropriately named then.
