This 2 liter bottle appears to have never had any white on the label. I have been unable to find another example. The code on it is 7604LA, so I assume 1976. Around the base it says "Return to the bottler of Coca Cola" two times. No markings of any kind on the bottom. Just wondering how this could happen, and if it adds any value. Thanks so much for any thoughts. Chipperdoug

Assuming this is accurate, it would be 1985-1987. Could/would you post photographs of the mark and text?

What mark?? What text?? The code and "Return to..." are embossed on the glass and is very difficult to photograph. Do you have logo examples on 2 liter glass bottles?? Those bottles were introduced around 1972, and were short-lived because of breakage. Replaced with plastic in the later '70's. Thanks, Chipperdoug

https://www.antique-bottles.net/ go and "??" them. My 2 cents, with how dark/dull that red coloring is, I'd say the bottle sat in unfavorable conditions for a while which might have faded/worn the white coloring away.

Thank you. I will check that out. I don't know how the labeling is applied, but there is no trace of white at all, and no sign of wear. It's a mystery to me. TY again.
