It looks green from here. It's too small for me, but it's pretty.

When they pop up here now they're usually $4.99 if anyone was paying attention.

Some of them go for big bucks. I picked one up for $1, blue tattooed mermaid, goes for $75. I like them because the handle area is large, they are bigger. We make instant oatmeal in them.

I keep and use 90% of the ones I find. Some I put Starbocks gift cards in for gifts.

    Darned tootin!

I found a few bits last weekend. The other silver bits are going straight to scrap, such as they are. Some other Christmas bits were signed Royal Copenhagen. The Sherry plate is sterling and the blackware is Native. The hair bits were another find - cost me $1 for stuff I use that isn't sold locally any more. The lucite candles have gone off the boil a bit, but for a dollar I wasn't complaining. The Met dove is sterling, the whole thing. The find may be the old American or Ancient Order of Foresters medal; they started as a fraternal order and now are an insurance company. It has to be over 100 years old, but bedarned if I can find a comperable. The Lake Placid medallion has a skier on it, but it's not from the Olympics. Nothing on the back, nothing on the loop at the top, and I can't find another.

Saw the mention of the Starbucks mug here and, lo and behold, look what I find at the Goodwill yesterday. I just never see these despite looking casually at the mugs quite often. Some of these used to go for big bucks. Not this one but it still looks like I did well for my $2.00 purchase.

Not my pic but just like this.....

I think they've faded since, but they're good drinking mugs.

I need to get pix, but I found a decanter today for a whole dollar. The more I looked the older it got, and I'm wondering if I just lucked into a piece of Georgian glass. The stopper is long gone, but if it's legit this thing is MINE.

I don't know if this counts because I don't own it. I was at a house call and saw this. I was going to take photos to research it for them but they said I should take it home to look it up. I never met these people before, they are very trusting, either that or they thought it was worthless junk :woot:

Anyway, I will be calling them tonight to fill them in...
A silver and enamel spoon by with an 88 mark for Moscow I think, maker's mark AK. I think it's made by Antip Kuzmichev working early to late 1800s. I saw similar pieces in Russian themed auctions and think the value is between $200-$400!

They are going to be amazed :)

Went to a sale with a TON of steins and took home this beauty for $5. I don't know anything about it but I couldn't leave it behind.
