The cut is legit. I watched the whole concert live, btw, including Phil Collins' two performances. He did both the USA and UK concerts.

Part of my brain insists Tina Turner covered it with Mick too at some point, just for the sheer joy of it. Van Halen did too.

it must have been amazing to be in the crowd that day, just for the build up feeling in the crowd for when the next big artist was coming on, and didn't they just keep coming

I only saw it on TV, but the lineup was unreal.

Oh my. A young Jagger, still fresh faced. And David Bowie. I miss him and his talent. Anyone else think back to "The Man Who Fell to Earth"?

.......a little harsh of me really ;)

it was the 80s after all;)

where bad taste oversized clothing seemed to be the fashion, its getting a bit like that now in fashion terms

there were certain band members who were dressed very similarly that night to band members playing at glastonbury (just been)

so are the 80s coming back ? :nailbiting::eek:;):playful:

its an interesting conundrum, if something is fashionable at the moment, but is not to your taste, does that make you unfashionable :shifty:

cause i ain't shifting from nicely cut trousers or jeans........nope :)

The question is, do you want to be fashionable?;)
You can chose things you like from a certain fashion and leave the rest. I don't know if that makes you fashionable, but it probably makes you feel good.:)

i honestly believe fashions change because of dads (my age demographic;))
copying the things the youngsters are wearing or sporting.

i can imagine a young lad with (once cool) skinny jeans sitting down to breakfast with his mum, then in walks dad with his 'new' skinny jeans................

next day the young lads wearing the baggiest widest jeans he can find ;):playful::)

its quite interesting actually about how the new mullet haircuts became a thing.

they were a repercussion(no joke) of lockdown life

guys wanted that short side look (which is easy enough with clippers) but left the back which can be dodgy territory (if doing yourself)

...........anyway, were all stuck having to look at people with them now (slighty joking) ;)

I think fashions change because designers and manufacurers want to earn as much as possible. If everyone keeps wearing the same stuff, the clothing trade goes bust.

Designers do look at streetwear for their newest collections, but that doesn't mean the kids on the street have a say in what's new. But the kids can chose if they will wear it.

i suppose it can happen both ways ........sometimes;)
i do get the feeling that the punk look was born on the streets(if you believe john lydon anyway) and just tweaked or picked up on by malcom and vivienne

think they were more teddy boy fashion before

john mentions how 'his' look was born out of being extremely poor and just wearing any old tattered thing he could find

he's (john) one of the most difficult people to get an idea of, he's wonderful on his nature documentaries (when he's with say a gorilla) but definitely not a people person at all

I have to say that the men's hair "do" I dislike the most (and please, it's JMHO!) is the fellow who is without hair on top but has a little pony tail at the back. Mullets always remind me of a certain era.

mick fleetwood totally owns that look though, got a great head shape, and with one of those i don't think it matters so much
