Featured Chinese agate sculpture

    Did a trade today and wound up with this piece ..it's carved from an agate and about 5" tall. Birdies and flowers from a boulder - cool!

    It could be some type of chalcedony,but it doesn't look like agate.

    Nope! - agate. Hard as the hobs of h---:rolleyes: Can't be scratched with a steel point. HARD!:wideyed:

    It is a beauty, blooey. Love the use of the natural colours of the stone. That one carnelian-y band in the chalcedony for the prunus blossoms.
