Probably has them in her brain! I can all get pretty close to color-matching quilt fabrics from memory, so it's not a far-fetched idea to me.

Yes, they are all independent necklaces, and all came with different vintage clasps! I have thought about making them a whole necklace with multi- strands, but without doing that one can still wear them together & choose two or three from them ;) c4f7685df2925a603b37233d1fccf8e0.jpeg

Well... since we're showing off coral...
I've shown this before but, well, here it is again. :shame:
@Any Jewelry was kind enough to say the beads may be as old as 1830s/40s and are an example of "Old Dutch" coral.
Passed down to me from my Polish grandmother...

They're been restrung a few times, most likely. The cord is too white to be original. Also too intact if these are that old.

My aunt made an amateur effort to re-string them in the 1970s.

That looks like the right era. It looks like I did it and didn't have a knot pusher handy.

I know.:) Ukrainian Mediterranean coral necklace were discussed here a few years ago.
There are also Ukrainian sellers who sold/sell them on Etsy, for very high prices.:(

As far as I know those are all glass. Beautiful beading though, just like Ukrainian and other Slavic embroidery.

Ok experts. Those necklaces are so beautiful that I've decided that I have to have one. Problem is, I went on ebay last night and...??? Coral ranges from $4 bucks to thousands! Are the cheap strands from China real coral? Momo is out of my price range right now, but is it possible to find a real strand that is similar to shamsters but less expensive? Thanks for any advice.

Antique Mediterranean coral necklaces are generally cheaper and authentic, a small strand probably cost you £50 to 100, there’s a lot frequently coming up for auction on eBay. Not sure about the modern one tho. You can post a pic of the one you are eyeing here if you need more help.

Another thread by me has picture of real coral( momo and Mediterranean) under magnification which may also help. You can check out my other threads on coral collection via my profile page or just search coral in the forum;)

As for reference, in China momo coral necklace roughly cost £10 per gram and bigger beads will cost more than three times higher. Western countries are farther from Japan so I assume it will be more expensive. But Mediterranean coral is no worse than Momo, depending on personal preference

As long as we’re showing off coral… here’s more odd modern pieces of mine with silver in dire need of a polish:

I don’t know if I would ever have bought this for myself, but it kinda grew on me.

Hi, I bid on a necklace last night but got outbid. SO, I figured I should start small until I know what I'm doing. I bought this bracelet, buy it now, for a starter piece.
The listing didn't say how big the beads were, but it's pretty and only 15 bucks.
I'm going to look at @shamsters other coral threads now. Thanks so much!
