Featured Japanese inspired studio bowl

    Hi folks

    picked this up today in my mates house clearance shop whilst there to pick up something else

    its a lovely little bowl, snapped it up

    i swear i've seen that mark before (English )(or one very similar)

    any help or info appreciated

    I don't know anything about it. I think I might have come across his name once before. Strikes a cord and that's about it. Nice bowl. Stuffed if I'd pay 4 grand for one though. Looks genuine enough. They go for several hundred on eBay. I will probably be looking for that mark on every bowl I see for the next few weeks. I reckon it's supposed to represent Yin/Yang.

    I found this small egg coddler at a jumble years ago.
    Auction House wasn’t interested as it wasn’t one of the large Leach pieces.

    Mate-If you found a Bernie Leach,you found the UK Ceramic equivalent of Henry Moore-and that aint' nothin'. I'd be guardedly chuffed !
    PS-Main question-Was it thrown by Leach himself ? I know zilch about ceramics,and Leach even I know !

    i know ;), 2 good to be true i reckon, i do really like that mark for some reason, its just crooked but finer at the same time enough to be older

    contacted Leach pottery, so will let ye nose ;)
