Help on signature. What is this painted on?

    image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg I found this earlier and like it. I've collected a few other pieces but in Egyptian style. This one though looks like it's painted on thin wood while the Egyptian style looks like it's on rice paper of some kind. This is signed and looks like Eric?
